Michael "Mike" Blair Nisbet

Michael “Mike” Blair Nisbet, 78, of Amarillo, passed away on July 13, 2022. No services are scheduled at this time. Burial of ashes will take place in Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas at a later date. Mike will be buried next to his wife, Susan Knight Nisbet.

Mike was born in Plainview, TX on July 23, 1943 to Carl Scott Nisbet, Jr. and Bobbie Lee Harris Nisbet. Mike was a graduate of the Schreiner Institutes Academy and received his bachelor degree in business from Sam Houston State University. He enjoyed watching baseball and golf on TV and reading. Mike spent time working in the vehicle donation division of the Salvation Army; it was the most interesting and rewarding part of his career.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Knight Nisbet; son, Michael Scott Tobin; father, Carl Scott Nisbet, Jr.; sister, Janet Nisbet Tipton; brother-in-law, Gary Richardson.

Survivors include his mother, Bobbie Harris Nisbet; son, Samuel C. Nisbet (Amanda); sisters, Lee Nisbet Harris (Wes) and Susan Nisbet Richardson; granddaughters, Peri and Catherine; daughter-in-law, Naomi Tobin; brother-in-law, Michael Tipton; five nephews and one niece.
