Michael Lockhart "Mike" Martin

Mike, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was born January 10, 1956 in Amarillo, TX, to Doris and Terry Martin. He grew up in Canyon, T.X. and attended Canyon High School. He later attended Colorado Christian College and West Texas State University. He married Karen Alderson in 1975 and their marriage was blessed with three sons, Charles, Robert, and David. Mike operated the family farm in Tulia, T.X. before transitioning his career into investments. He spent the next 20 years as a financial advisor helping his clients with their insurance and investment needs. He enjoyed politics and volunteering with many local Christian charities. He attended several Christian churches in the area and professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. In retirement he spent most of his time with his children and grandchildren who he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Doris Martin. Survivors include his brother Terry Martin and his sister Trudy Martin of Norman, O.K., three sons, Charles Martin and wife Leslie of Amarillo, Robert Martin and wife Jennifer of Amarillo, David Martin of Lakewood Colorado, a nephew Joshua Martin and four grandchildren, Miriam, Jude, Liam and Asher.
