Michael Scott O'Neal

Michael O’Neal, 75, of Amarillo passed away on February 3, 2024. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday February 8, 2024 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive with Shane Wyly officiating. Burial to follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Michael was born on July 7, 1948 in LA, California to William and Dorothy O’Neal. He attended Amarillo High School. Then he went to further his education at Amarillo College where he obtained his Associates in Electronics. Michael met and married the love of his life, Debby Bailey on June 22, 1967. Together they shared over 56 years, two children, and many memories to treasure before his passing.  He loved to hunt and fish out at the family’s ranch or just any body of water he could get to. Michael was a very honest, caring and trustworthy gentleman. He lived his life with great integrity. Michael was an amazing role model for his two sons. Most of all, he loved and cared for his wife dearly as she was his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; William and Dorothy.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Debby of the home; his two sons, Mark O’Neal and Ryan O’Neal both of Amarillo; his two daughters by heart, Carla O’Neal of San Antonio; Becky O’Neal of Amarillo; his 5 grandchildren, Ansley; Hunter; Addison; Makenna; Brody; and three great-grandchildren.
