Michael Wilkerson

Michael Wilkerson, 36, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021.  Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Michael was born January 23, 1985 in Amarillo to Wesley and Cindy Wilkerson. He attended high school in Henderson, Nevada. Michael worked for Affiliated Foods in Amarillo. In his spare time, he enjoyed backpacking and hiking. He also enjoyed studying history. Michael’s true passion was dogs. His dream was to someday own and operate his own dog rescue.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Amanda Wilkerson; his grandfather, George “Buddy” Wilkerson; and his grandmother, Dorthy Harvey.

Survivors include his mother, Cindy Wilkerson of Amarillo; his father, Wesley Wilkerson of Las Vegas, NV; his grandparents, Beverly Wilkerson of Amarillo, and Levi Harvey of Howardwick; his two nephews, Alex Byers and Aiden Bennett both of Amarillo; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the Amarillo SPCA.
