Micheal Duane Gleaves, 74, of Amarillo went to be with the Lord on Monday January 24, 2022. Memorial services will be held on Saturday February 5, 2022 at 10:00AM at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel 4180 Canyon Drive with Daniel Gleaves officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
He was brought into this world on March 26, 1947 by his mother, Lorene Coffey Gleaves and delivered by his father Alva Duane Gleaves.
Micheal lived in Lakehurst N.J.; Phoenix, AZ; Fritch, TX but most of his life in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1965 and went on to Wayland Baptist University in 1995. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War in a search and rescue helicopter squadron; then served his country for 37 more years at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, TX.
Micheal was so ready to be with God his Father an d Jesus his savor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alva Dale; and the loving mother of his daughters, Becky Gail.
Survivors include his two daughters, Christy and husband Cody Anderson of Amarillo, TX; Jennifer Gleaves of Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Avery, Heide, and Coy; one fur baby, Sonny; one brother Dan and wife Rita Gleaves of Amarillo, TX; one sister, Ann Sherrill and family of Columbus, KS. As well as many adopted children and grandchildren.
