Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am, Saturday Feburary 10, 2018 at St. John's Greek Eastern Orthodox Church. Burial to follow at Llano Cemetery.
Mihret "Adey" Yobio Ogbamichael, 89, was born September 21, 1928 in Adibidel, Eriterea, East Africa. She was the second of five children born to Mr. Yobio and Mrs. Dinkal. Mihret, known to her friends and family as "Adey" grew up in Adibidel, Eritrea there, she met her husband Mr. Ghebremichael. After the two were married, they moved to Asmara, Eritrea.
Filled with compassion for others, Adey made friends with many people. She was an active member of the Orthodox Churches, and a devout Christian throughout her life. She loved to adore the icons at any time or place of worship.
Adey was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, and all her siblings.
Adey is survived by her son, Rezene Michael and wife Aster Sium; seven grandchildren, Jasmine, Ruta, Rahel, Robel, Abraham, Hermela, and Yonatan all of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Eastern Orthodox Church, 1101 Bell Street, 79106. This would be an appropriate way to celebrate her love of church life.
The family will be having a gathering in the home following burial at 3308 Rigdon, Amarillo TX.
