Milburn Bunn, 64, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday August 8, 2021 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday August 12, 2021 at Trinity Fellowship Church, 5000 Hollywood Rd. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Kirkland Cemetery in Childress at 3:30 PM on Thursday August 12, 2021. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Milburn was born on June 4, 1957 in Snyder to M.L. and Helen Bunn. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1975 and then married his wife, Beth in September of 1977. Milburn worked for the family business, Southland Battery and Warehouse, here in Amarillo. He started when he was in high School until 2003. From 2003 – 2019 Milburn worked for Amarillo Battery and Golf Cart before he retired. Milburn loved the lake and enjoyed fishing. He loved dirt bikes and enjoyed watching his son race. If Milburn and his family weren’t racing, you could always find them at the lake. He enjoyed golf and was an avid NASCAR fan. Milburn was an Old Western enthusiast, and loved John Wayne; he also liked Andy Griffin. Milburn was a conservative person but was very giving to others. He was simple and caring, always willing to give you the shirt off his back. He loved people and they loved him. Milburn loved his children and grandchildren, always enjoying their time together. At heart, he was very family oriented. He adored his wife, Beth and the life they had built together. He was loved by so many, and will be missed.
Milburn was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Beth, of the home; one daughter, Jeaneau Snell and husband Tony; one son, Michael and wife Renay all of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Kayden Delgado, Ryleigh Delgado, Nevaeh Snell, Kyler Wall and husband Caleb, Morgann Kennedy, Brodee Kennedy, Matthew Bunn and Brock Kennedy; two sisters, Joy Boyd of Amarillo and Darlene Click and husband Lyndal of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
