Mildred Lea Hill

Mildred was born July 28, 1921 in Old Mobeetie to Mattie and John Lea. She was the oldest of five siblings. She married John Hill in Portales, NM on February 28, 1942 and celebrated over 66 years of marriage, before he predeceased her in 2008. She was a member of Palo Duro Baptist Church and loved her Lord and Savior. A rancher's wife, homemaker and hard worker, she loved to cook for everyone. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; her brothers, Pete and Billy Joe Lea; a sister, Jenny Ruth Pittman and a great grandson, Harrison Hadley. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hudson House in Canyon and Kindred Hospice for the care shown to Mildred during her stay. She is survived by her children, Patsy Rahn and husband Bob of Amarillo, Allan Hill and wife Sharon of Amarillo and Jim Hill and wife Kathleen of Channing; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and by her sister Cozetta James and husband Tom; also surviving her are several nieces, a nephew and several cousins.
