Muriel D. Foster

April 7, 1932 — January 22, 2015

Muriel was born April 7, 1932 in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma, to Jim Wilson and Grace Bergen Wilson. She was raised in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. She married Billy E. "Blackie" Foster, July 17, 1950 and celebrated 54 years of marriage before he preceded her in death. Together, they raised four daughters. Muriel Dean was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and loved ceramics, sewing, and playing games. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Wilson and Grace Watson, her husband Blackie Foster, a daughter, Mary Foster, her step mother, Birdie Wilson, her step father, Quentin Watson and a brother, Sam Watson. The family would like to express a thank you to Hospice Care of the Southwest for the loving care and compassion shown to their precious mother and family. She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Hughes and husband Bruce of Amarillo, Billie Palmer and husband Greg of Amarillo, Kellye Stevenson and husband John of Southlake; her grandchildren, Jessica Ramirez and husband Angel, Ben Palmer and wife Lindsey, Rick Palmer, Megan Gilmore and husband Duran, Matt Stevenson and wife Agnes, and Ryan Stevenson; her great grandchildren, Jenah and Sophie Ramirez, Lily Kate and Alexis Grace "Gracie" Palmer, and Noah Boyd; her siblings, Aline Newport, Jimmy Wilson and wife Betty, Bobby Wilson and wife Charlene, Emma Johnson, sister-in-law, Geri Watson, and Debbie Watson; as well as countless nieces, nephews, other family and friends; and of course her church family.
