Nancy L. Smith, 77, of Amarillo, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in Hillside Christian Amarillo South Campus, 6901 Bell Street, with Travis Bennett officiating. Nancy was born June 25, 1940, to Edwin and Faye Murff, in Brice, TX. She married Kenneth Paul Smith, Sr. on May 19, 1956. She was an avid league bowler and an amazing cook. She often enjoyed trips to the mountains, fishing and watching the hummingbirds. In her spare time, she liked to color and solve word puzzles. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Kenneth Paul Smith, Jr., her granddaughter, Deidra Jade Smith, her sister, Sue Colburn and a brother, Bobby Murff. She is survived by her son, Ricky Smith and wife Jacquie of Amarillo; daughter-in-law, Donna Smith of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Sarah Wrotten and husband Tomas of Ft. Worth, Kellen Smith and Wife Tana of Canyon and Lindsey Smith and David Gonzalez of Amarillo; four great grandchildren, Averey, Kysen and Ansen Smith and Saylor Wrotten; also surviving her is her beloved pet, Molli. She was loved by many. The family suggests memorials be to the Ronald McDonald House, 1501 Streit Drive, Amarillo, TX 79106 or a charity of one's choosing.
