Nancy Skeen

Nancy Lynn Mears Skeen, 73, of Amarillo formerly of Ft Worth, passed into Heaven Feb. 16, 2022.  Services are graveside in Dixie, OK at 2 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 19, 2022.

Nancy was born in San Saba, Texas on April 1, 1948 to John Carter Mears & Maxine Mears White.  She had 5 brothers, Martin, James, Jackie, Bobby & Ronnie Mears.  She married James A Skeen on August 15, 1964, spending over 54 years together. James & Nancy did many things together as a family with their children. They enjoyed horses, trips to the lake, spending time with family. Nancy worked at Levi's until it closed,  then she and James became over the road truck drivers for over 20 years.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, James, both her parents, 3 of her brothers, James, Jackie & Bobbie Mears. Their great granddaughter, Tielyr Skeen.

Survivors include daughter Brenda Borchardt & husband Lynn, sons Ron Skeen & wife Amanda, Randy Skeen & wife Vicki, Greg Skeen & wife Stacy all of Amarillo, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
