Nanette (Walker) Provence

Nanette Provence, 85 of Amarillo passed away February 20, 2023. Celebration of Life services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday March 11, 2023 at Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1401 S Polk with Stephania Gilkey officiating.

Nanette was born on May 24, 1937 in Conway, Texas to Cecil and Zelma Walker. She was a faithful member of Polk Street United Methodist Church for 40 years, as well as the Hallelujah Sunday School class.  Nanette was a very humble and kind woman. She loved nature, gardening, and sweet treats, especially Hot Tamales and an occasional Pay Day. She would always have some candy to share with others. Nanette loved her family fiercely, taking the best care of them. She especially loved to spoil her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Nanette was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Arty Pratt; and her great granddaughter, Cooper Grayce Moore.

Survivors include her three children, Arty Vincent Pratt and wife Norma; Natalie Chappell and husband Joe; Mark Pratt; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
