Nathan Ray White, 78, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glen McCathern of Prairie View Baptist Church and Willis Malone officiating.

Nathan was born July 24, 1942 in Dalhart, Texas to C.B. and Bessie White. He graduated from Palo Duro High School. He and his wife, Sue, have enjoyed 34 years together. Nathan worked for Bell Helicopter and Customized Services, and then farmed in Dalhart for several years. He then worked for BFI, Waste Wranglers, Mission Petroleum, and DOT Metal Products, retiring in July of 2020.

Nathan was an avid reader, and was self- taught in many areas by reading. He was always busy and enjoyed building things. He was ornery, stubborn and could be very opinionated, but he had a fierce love for his family. He collected arrowheads and die cast classic cars. Nathan was a gentle animal lover. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jimmy White.

Survivors include his wife, Sue White; two sons, Scott White and wife Julie of Dalhart and Steven Stone and wife Katelyn of Falls City, TX; a daughter, Yvonne Evans and husband Dennis of Shertz, TX; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth White, Bryan McCauley and wife Kelli, Parker Stone, Ryder Stone, Joy Stone, Karen Oncken and husband Ryan, Jared Evans, and Darek Evans; and two great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Collin.
