Nedra Jo Waldrop

Nedra was born in Amarillo on Dec. 28, 1929 to Homer and Nina Jacob. A 1948 graduate of Amarillo High School, Nedra soon after achieved three of her life's greatest accomplishments: Her children Jan, Roxanne and Dan. Nedra later put herself through college where she studied Education and spent more than 20 years nurturing Amarillo children as a teacher and school counselor. She married Harold T. Waldrop on Feb. 11, 1977. Together they created a life of love and travel while tremendously enjoying their grandchildren. Nedra leaves behind an amazing legacy of faith. She birthed three generations of Christ-followers to date, and Romans 12:12 was foundational for her life as she continually sought to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold; her sister Dorothy Ann Sinise; and her brother Billy Jack Jacob. Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Jan Stennett and husband Bob of Colorado Springs, Colo; daughter Roxanne Frazier and husband Bernie of Amarillo; son Dan Campbell and wife Shelley of Round Rock; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Grady Anne Jacob of Amarillo, and many nieces and nephews.
