Nelda Jean Mcleod

Nelda was born on July 11, 1939 in Perryton. She married Larry McLeod on October 24, 1956. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was passionate about her career as a substance abuse counselor until she retired in 2003. She was a loving wife and mother as well as a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son, Larry "Mac" McLeod, Jr and wife Tru of Amarillo; 2 grandchildren, Toya McLeod and wife Allison of Amarillo and Stormie McLeod of Queens, NY; 2 great grandchildren, Claire and Meredith McLeod; brother, Jay Barnett of Tulsa; sister, Charlene Evans of Tulsa and her birthmother, Lucille Johnson of Tulsa She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry McLeod, Sr and 2 sons, David and Jeff McLeod.
