Delores Flanagan Obituary

Delores Lynch Halfmann Flanagan, 86, passed away on August 5, 2019.  She was born on July 10, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Thomas and Mary Lynch.  Delores married Victor Halfmann in April of 1951, and they settled in the farming community of St. Lawrence, Texas.  They were married until Victor’s death in April of 1970.  Delores later married Charles Flanagan. After his passing in 2006, Delores moved to Tulia, Texas.  She moved into the Tulia Health and Rehabilitation Center in 2011.  Her final residence was the Craig Senior Living facility in Amarillo where she lived from February of 2015 until her death. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Lynch, her first husband, Victor Halfmann, her second husband, Charles Flanagan, her sisters, Dorothy Troxell, and Teresa Selph Lynch, and her brother Eddie Lynch. Delores is survived by her children:  Pat Halfmann and wife Linda, of Ballinger, Texas, Paula Ringo of San Angelo, Texas, Baldwin Halfmann of Ballinger, Texas, Cindy Gurley and husband, Johnny of San Angelo, Texas, Thomas Halfmann of San Angelo, Texas, Daniel Halfmann and wife, Donna of West Columbia, Texas, Chris Halfmann and wife Brenda of Greenwood, Texas, and Vickie Ansley of Amarillo, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  She also is survived by her sister, Rosemary Vessels of Bloomfield, New Mexico, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Delores never met a stranger and relished simple interactions with people from all walks of life.  Even in the midst of living with dementia and Alzheimer’s, she continued to be a source of joy and brought a smile to those that had the opportunity to know her. A funeral mass will be celebrated on August 31, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in San Angelo, Texas. Delores’ family would like to thank the staff at the Craig Senior Living as well as BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their care, love, and concern for her.
