Doralean Darnell, 77, of Amarillo, died Monday, November 5, 2018. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Friday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, Texas. Doralean was born April 20, 1941 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Jesse and Goldie Burns. She graduated from Quail High School. She married the love of her life, Charlie Darnell on November 28, 1959. They made their home in Pampa for 25 years before moving to Amarillo in 1989. Doralean dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a very talented seamstress, sewing her children’s clothes when they were growing up. She even made baby-doll clothes for her grandkids “babies”. Doralean loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jesse Jackson Burns; three half-brothers, Bob Hudson, Bill Burns, and Herman Burns; and a half-sister, Rachel Bartlett. Survivors include her husband of 58 years Charlie Darnell; two daughters, Cyndi Martin and husband David of Watertown, TN, and Kimi Drake and husband Wesley of Amarillo; two brothers, Herschel Burns of Pampa, and Dwight Burns and wife Phil of Plainview; three grandchildren, Nichole Stamps and husband Josh of Crossville, TN, Kimberly Rollins and husband Steven, and Christina Jones and husband Adam all of Amarillo; and six great-grandchildren.
