Patricia "Pat" Annett

Patricia “Pat” Annett, 81, of Amarillo, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum Chapel with Deacon Robert Aranda, Jr. officiating. Rosary service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Dr. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery East Mausoleum. Patricia was born on March 20, 1938 in Amarillo to Lawrence and Agnes Doose. She married Joe Annett, Jr. on September 18, 1959 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Pat and Joe loved to travel and have adventures with their children and grandchildren. She worked for AISD in the cafeteria until her retirement in 2003. Pat was a huge Texas Rangers Baseball fan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; and two brothers, Bill Doose and Kenneth Doose. She is survived by two sons, Danny Annett and wife Susan, of Amarillo, and David and wife Rachel, of Oklahoma City, OK; a daughter, Cheryl and life partner Mit Sommarvong, of Fort Meyers, FL; a brother, Donald, of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Danny Jr., William, Josh, Chelsea, Dustin, Courtney, Chasity and Kristin; numerous great-grandchildren; and many beloved family members and friends. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude, first, to Jan Werner Adult Day Care for caring so much for Pat, and second, to Prairie Acres Nursing Home, and finally, to BSA Hospice of the Southwest for their respectful care of Pat during her last days.
