Oren Benjamin Scofield

Oren Benjamin Scofield, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Oren was born January 1, 1931 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Oren B. and Leland Scofield. Oren worked as a truck driver for the majority of his career. In his spare time, Oren was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved panning for gold in the Colorado Rockies. He was the happiest when spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Oren was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Stan Scofield. Oren was also the last surviving sibling of 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Ken Scofield of Amarillo; three daughters, Pat Newberry and husband Robert of Granbury, Bev Elam and husband Gary of Canyon, and Kim Ball of Canyon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
