Pamela was born on July 15, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Alex and Myrtle Ortiz. She grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. Pam was a strong woman who never let anything hold her back, including her Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was diagnosed at the age of 16 and she never let it get her down. Pamela went on to further her education and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She eventually met the love of her life Tom, and they just recently celebrated 13 beautiful years together before her passing. Pamela made a promise to Tom on their wedding day that she would make him laugh every day, and she did. She loved music, especially classic Rock and Roll, and she loved to dance. Pamela and Tom also had a passion for riding Harley’s. With a love for writing, she had eventually planned to write about her and Tom’s travels over the last few years while on the R.V. circuit. Together they saw many beautiful places and made great friends along the way. Pamela’s favorite place was the Mackinaw Bridge in Michigan. She was an even keeled person with a tender heart, and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Pamela was preceded in death by her parents and one fur baby Mia.
Survivors include her husband Tom, of the home; one son, Dean Carmichael (Leesha) of Grand Blanc, Michigan; two daughters, Ashley Robinson (Dusty) of Ft. Collins, Co, and Lory Myers of California; three step-daughters, Jennifer Peterson (John) of Ishpeming, Michigan, Austin Cox (Jay) of Happy, Rachel Lewis of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Alex Ortiz of California; one sister, Deborah Ortiz of Montana; 9 grandchildren; Lachlan, A.j., Kian, Isaac, Natalie, Maggie, Sabrina, Isabel and Cadie.
