Pamela Goodwin Schwartz

March 16, 1954 — December 8, 2016

Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Fraternal Order of Police, located at 4819 TX-136 in Amarillo. Pamela was born on March 16, 1954 in Amarillo to Bob and Valerie Carter. She was raised in Amarillo, where she graduated from Caprock High School. She began her employment at the Potter County Clerk's office before obtaining her degree in law enforcement and pursuing a career as a law enforcement officer with the Potter County Sheriff's Office. She worked for Potter County for over 10 years before beginning employment as an office administrator for Blackmon-Mooring Steamatic, where she worked for over 15 years, leaving due to illness. Pammie spent the last 20 years with her soulmate, Annie. Together, they loved traveling and had the opportunity to visit many wonderful and memorable places. Pamela was affectionately known as "Pammie" by her friends and family. She was known to be thoughtful and loving and considerate to others. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and most of all spending time with her friends and family. Pammie should be remembered as having an old soul, her flower child spirit and her crazy wit. She is survived by her life partner, Ann Smith of Amarillo and their furbabies, Zora Bella and Orbit; daughter, Brittany Holberg; granddaughter, McKenzie Holberg; her brother, Robert Martin Carter and close family members, Pauline Smith, Deannie Smith, Jimmy Smith, Charlene Brazell (Shane McKay) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many close family friends. She was preceded in death by her infant son; father, Bob Carter; mother, Valerie Goodwin and fathers, Bill Goodwin and Oddie Smith.
