Patricia Ann Cobbs-Beck

Patricia was born on September 11, 1924 in McClean to Farrah and Mabel Cobbs. She was raised in McClean, where she graduated from McClean High School in 1942 After the war, she and Tom settled in Canyon in 1949. She married Thomas W. Beck on June 12, 1945 in Mission, X, he preceded her in death in 2001. Patricia was a devoted homemaker and mother for her family. Once her child was grown, she taught preschool and kindergarten at the age of 50. Patricia will be remembered as a strong, independent lady with a generous caring heart. She was known as "Nana" by all and her friends and family adored her. In her free time, Patricia enjoyed being in her backyard, watching the birds and enjoying her flower garden. She was a volunteer and officer for the NWTH Pink Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Asher of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren, Dustin Asher and fiancé Claudette Foster of Amarillo and Sara Hamlyn and husband Bill of Houston and Cara Neff of Houston; great grandchildren, Tyler Hartless-Asher, Colby Hartless-Asher, Mackenzie Neff, Kendall Neff, Bailey Neff and Breyden Foster; nephew, Jim Cobbs of Boise, Idaho; former son-in-laws, Billy Hartless and Bret Neff and his beloved dog, Happy. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Cobbs and Hugh Cobbs; son-in-law, Tom Asher and her husband Thomas Beck in 2001.
