Patrick Lynn "Pat" Buchanan, 63, died Saturday, March 29, 2014.
Celebration of life services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Washington Avenue Christian Church with Charlie Cox officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Pat was born Sept. 27, 1950, in Cushing, Okla., to Ira and Ethel Buchanan. He was raised in Oklahoma and in Amarillo, where he was a graduate of Tascosa High School. While in high school, he was on the Tascosa wrestling team.
He married Karen Turner on Feb. 4, 1994, in Las Vegas. Pat worked in sales and service for many years, and worked for Ameripride since 1997. He enjoyed golfing and cooking out with friends and family and watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
Most of all, Pat loved to be with family. He had an enormous heart for others. He always enjoyed watching his grandson compete in sporting events and was also involved in his wife Karen's antique store, Maryland House.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Lee Buchanan, in 2013; and an infant brother, Stephen Buchanan.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Buchanan of Amarillo; two daughters, Robin and April Buchanan, both of Amarillo; two stepsons, Adam Turner and wife Lisa of Austin and Craig Turner and wife Mandy of McKinney; a sister, Sandra Edmonds and husband John of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Fredrick L. Buchanan and wife Sandy of Sun City, Calif., and Michael C. Buchanan and wife Linda of Spokane, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Christopher, Marissa, Kambri, Jett and Ellie Grace.
