Pattie Wale Plaster

Pattie Wale Plaster, 75, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 14, 2026, at First Baptist Church Chapel, 1208 S. Tyler St. with Pastor Larry Payne officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2026 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Pat was born February 10, 1951 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Hoyt and Rozelle Wale. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1969. She married her husband, Ronnie Plaster on March 28, 1970. Together they raised three children, Scott, Angela and Brent. Pat worked as a teacher’s aide at Paramount Terrace Elementary, then as a substitute teacher at City View Elementary and at several Canyon ISD schools. Pat loved her job and was especially gifted in working with special needs students.

Pat’s most important role was as Mom to her three kids. She made her home the most welcoming place for all the kids’ friends to hang out. She was active and engaged with her teenagers in all their events, even down to toilet-papering houses. Pat also went on several mission trips with her kids as teens. Pat and Ron have been active members of First Baptist Church over the last 15 years. In her spare time, one of her favorite things to do was trout fishing in Colorado. She was a talented artist and painter, and enjoyed doing other crafts as well. She taught water color classes in her home.

Pat dedicated her life to her family and to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved studying the Bible and helping others learn about it. She taught Bible Study classes at home as well as at church. She was a very generous person, and would give away anything to improve the life of someone else. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, church family and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Plaster; two sons, Scott Plaster and wife Carla of Amarillo, and Brent Plaster and wife Erin of Questa, New Mexico; a daughter, Angela Stange and husband Jared of Farmersville, Texas; two brothers, Ron Wale and wife Sharon of Bixby, OK, and Mike Wale and wife Diane of Huntsville, TX; a sister, Cindy Jamison and husband David of Conroe, TX; and seven grandchildren, Ryan Plaster, Samuel Plaster, McKenna Plaster, Tyler Stange, Cody Stange, Isaac Plaster and Declan Plaster.
