Paulette Watson Kerr

Paulette Watson Kerr, 71, of Amarillo passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Paulette was born in Brownwood, Texas on November 4, 1946 to Marvin and Louise Watson. She married Ed Kerr in Amarillo on December 30, 1966. Paulette and Ed had made Amarillo home since 1960. She worked for The State of Texas; with TPMHMR and The Department of Rehabilitation Services, as a bookkeeper and an accountant for 20 plus years. Paulette loved to take her kids and grandkids on vacations. She was known as a "darn" good cook and as the ultimate chef. Ed describes his first time meeting Paulette as "being love at first sight" and him thinking, "Oh Baby!". She enjoyed shopping, sewing and decorating. Paulette was known as grandma by all and was a light to everyone she was around. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mom and grandma. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marvin Watson Jr. She is survived by her husband, Ed Kerr of Amarillo; son, Robert Kerr of Irving and daughter, Amy Cluck and husband Brad of Amarillo; grandchildren, Lindsey Hagemeier and husband J.T. of Amarillo, Trey Weatherly and wife Mackenzie of Amarillo, Kate Weatherly and fiancé Tyler McKnight of Durango, CO, Ryan Weatherly of Amarillo and Audrey Vaughn of Amarillo; great-grandchildren, Briggs Hagemeier and Miles Weatherly. In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial donations to Texas Tech Health Science Center c/o Garrison Institute on Aging Brain Bank; 3601 4th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79430.
