Peggy Cauble Cox, 82, of Amarillo, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday at HIS Church, 6300 Arden Rd., with Pastor David Brown officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega, Texas. Peggy was born January 12, 1937 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Jack and Gladys Cauble. She graduated from Vega High School in 1955, and dedicated her life to caring for her family and others. She was a talented singer, singing joyfully for many years in her church choir. She was also a seamstress, making clothes and doing alterations. Peggy loved people very much, and was known for her gift-giving, and her card and letter writing. She was meticulous about her beautiful penmanship, and those who received her cards always loved them. She was a very active member of HIS Church, formerly Victory Church for over 20 years. She became “Aunt Peggy” to many people, most especially her church family. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Cox; a son, Tom Boling; and a brother, Bruce Cauble. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Basson of Amarillo, and Theresa Lindberg and husband David of Escondido, CA; a brother, Jack Cauble of Wichita, KS; a son-in-love, Patrick Lee and wife Stephane of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Matthew Silvanic, Justin Silvanic, Brittany Silvanic, Brianna Lindberg, Christopher Lindberg, Morgan Brown, Austin Boling, and Brooke Boling; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to HIS Church, Benevolence fund, 6300 Arden Rd. Amarillo, TX 79109.
