Perry L. Peek, 64, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Hillside Christian Church, 6100 S. Soncy, with Pastor Craig Albracht officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Monday, January 2, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Perry was born February 18, 1958 in Amarillo to Roy Jess and Maxine Peek. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1976, and went on to earn his bachelor degree from Texas Tech University. He subsequently earned his law degree from Texas Tech School of Law. He married the love of his life, Sara Errington on September 21, 1987. Together they raised two children, Britni and Gunner. Perry enjoyed riding horses and going on trail rides with Gunner. Perry and Britni shared a joy for travel and together they made many great memories. He enjoyed coaching and watching Britni play softball throughout the years. He loved watching old westerns on TV, especially John Wayne movies and Gunsmoke. Perry also enjoyed playing with his dog, Doc Holliday.
Perry was a very successful Amarillo attorney throughout his career; he was an excellent trial attorney. Perry was an extremely intelligent, passionate and stubborn man. He fiercely loved his family and his devotion to them was evident. He adored his grandbabies and loved traveling with them; he was the best BaBa to them. Perry was a member of the Amarillo Bar Association and Will Rogers Range Riders. Perry loved making fried spaghetti and dancing in the kitchen. Perry and Sara were longtime members of Hillside Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Roy Dewayne, Kenneth and Tommy; and two sisters, Markeeta and Shirley.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Peek; a daughter, Britni Orr and husband Jason of Amarillo; a son, Gunner Peek and wife Laura of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Boston Orr and Jordyn Orr; a new granddaughter coming in March; in-laws, Annie and Tommy Little; and several nieces and nephews.
