R. L. Stone

R. L. was born August 21, 1930 in Hedley to Burt and Katie Stone. He was a graduate of Hedley High School and served his country during the Korean Conflict with the Army. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo. On April 4, 2003, he married Alma Mussyal in Canadian. He enjoyed playing golf, card games and carving bears from tree stumps with his chainsaw. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Rita, a sister, Arletha Winters and a brother, Raymond Stone. He is survived by his wife: Alma Stone of Amarillo; son: Danny Stone and wife June of Katy; 2 daughters: Judy Davis and husband Jerry of Collinsville, Dorothy Ramsey and husband Wayne of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren: Aaron Davis and wife Amy, Marcus Davis and wife Whitney, Jason Stone and wife Amy, Jeremy Stone and wife Melissa, Kimberley Hall; and 13 great grandchildren.
