Rachel Boyd

Rachel Boyd, 33, of Tulia, passed away on March 22, 2025. Services are pending at this time and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Rachel was born on June 15, 1991 in Alderson, West Virginia to Cathy and Buddy Mitchem.

Rachel was a loving mother, friend, and an all-around incredible person who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her greatest joy in life was caring for others, especially her children. Whether by blood or not, she took great pride in nurturing and loving all those she considered her own. She was the kind of person who always put others before herself, offering her time, energy, and heart without hesitation. Her selflessness and kindness were unmatched, and she had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel valued and loved.

She lived with integrity, always doing the right thing, even when it wasn’t the easiest choice, and she never apologized for staying true to her values. Rachel’s strength, compassion, and unwavering love will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Rachel embraced life with a full heart and an infectious zest. She found joy in the simple moments and shared that joy with everyone around her. Her laughter, warmth, and care will be deeply missed.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish Rachel’s memory include her loving husband, Jason Boyd, of the home; her children, Amber Boyd, Sterling Boyd, and Kolton Boyd; her stepfather, Gregg Nichols; her two nieces, Adriana and Kaitlyn; her “kids,” Reagan, Ashley, and Emily; as well as two sisters, one brother, and a large, supportive extended family. She also leaves behind many close friends who were like family to her.
