Randy Phillips

Randy was born on February 27, 1957 in Plainview to Roland and Marie Phillips. He was raised in Plainview, where he graduated from high school in 1976. Randy moved to Amarillo after high school where he worked for Penske Truck Center for over 10 years as well as Gene Messer Ford for over 30 years in the parts department. He volunteered for Amarillo Emergency Service for many years. There he met Crystal Smyrl and the two of them were married on May 1, 1992. Randy liked to occupy himself with "busy work", but above all, he loved his family, especially his granddaughters, and time spent with them. Survivors include wife Crystal Phillips of Amarillo; daughter, Jordan Marie Phillips of Amarillo; 2 step-daughters, Jennifer Striley of Amarillo and Brandy Striley of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Elizabeth Striley of Amarillo and Lexi Striley of Las Vegas; 2 brothers, Leo Phillips and wife Kay of Plainview and Ray Phillips and wife Victoria of Massachusetts; 1 sister, Debbie Rush of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Haller on January 4, 2008.
