Ray Daniels

Ray was born November 27, 1929 in Byars, OK, to Lola Wood Daniels and Raymond Daniels, Sr. He married Joyce Bailey on December 3, 1948 in Henrietta, OK, and would have celebrated 69 years of wedded bliss this year. He was a man of many talents who thoroughly enjoyed racing, from the Route 66 Speedway all the way to NASCAR. His favorite driver of all time was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He never met a stranger and could make everyone smile. He liked going to garage sales and was a member of San Jacinto Assembly of God. He lived his whole life serving the Lord. He served as Sunday School Superintendent for over 30 years as well as served as a deacon in his church. He was a family man and was loved by all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. He was known for giving out the best hugs also. He was preceded in death by his parents, a great grandson, Nathan Evans and by a son-in-law, Cody Hobbs. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce; his children, David Daniels and wife Jeanette, Dennis Daniels and wife Cindy, Mike Daniels and wife Debbie, Teresa Morris and husband Melvin, Bob Daniels and wife Becky and Karen Rogers and husband D.J.; 20 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; his siblings, Chester Daniels and wife Lucy, Elmer Daniels and wife Myrna, Lois Blanka and Louis Daniels and wife Pat; also surviving him are his special caregiver, Emma Pena; his special companion, Gus; and numerous other family and many friends.
