Ray Rodriguez

Ray Rodriguez, 71, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020. Ray was born October 2, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to Albert and Georgia Rodriguez. He grew up in Hereford. He worked for Tyson Foods for many years, and also for AISD in maintenance. Ray was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved going dancing. He is remembered as a very funny and caring man with a big heart. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and always had a smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Linda Rodriguez of 28 years, a step-daughter, Amy Guerrero and husband Leon; two step-sons, Richard De La Cruz and wife Barbara, and Ronnie De La Cruz and wife Melissa; nine step-grandchildren, Jimmy Pompa, Jon Cantu, , Dallas Guerrero, Cynthia Fitch (Jake), Anthony De La Cruz (Talina), Josh De La Cruz, Zech De La Cruz, Brittany Johnson, and Chase Johnson; and four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Asher, Cohen, and Dominic.  Two daughters, Rita Gonzales and Roxanne Diaz all of Amarillo; four brothers, Freddie Rodriguez and wife Emma of Amarillo, Daniel Rodriguez of Pampa, John Ramirez and wife Rose of Hobbs, NM, and Victor Ramirez and wife Rayneen of Amarillo; two sisters, Stella Villa and husband Angel of Fredericksburg, and Emma Marquez and husband Thomas of Iowa; nine grandchildren, Demetria Gonzalez, Crystal Arevalo (Juan), Elsa Gonzalez (Margaret), Anthony Soto, Sophia Herrera (Gabriel), Cristian Diaz, Sebastian Diaz, and Mercedes Diaz; two great grandchildren, Ali and Gabriel Jr Herrera.
