Raymond Golden

Raymond Golden, 81, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Shamrock Cemetery, with Pastor Micheal Chase of Christian Heritage Church of Amarillo officiating.

Raymond was born June 22, 1940 in Paris, Texas to Tony and Vivie Golden. He went to school in Sam Norwood. He married Linda Smith on May 19, 1961 in Shamrock. They celebrated 60 years of marriage last summer. Raymond worked as a truck driver for 50 years. He was a former member of Life of Praise Fellowship Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, camping out, and watching old western movies on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lloyd Golden, James Golden and Tony Golden; a sister, Pat Johnson; and a grandson, Steven Howard.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Golden; two daughters, Rena Golden and Belinda DeFever both of Amarillo; two sons, Tommy Golden and Justin Golden both of Amarillo; a brother, Harold Golden of Lake Texoma; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Christian Heritage Church-Run for the Wall Ministry, 900 S. Nelson St. Amarillo, TX 79104.
