Raymond Glenn Roy, 74, passed away on November 21, 2018.  Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Saint Stephen United Methodist Church. Raymond was born to Ferris Glenn (Bud) and Marjorie Ann Willard Roy on May 20, 1944 in Wellington, Texas.  Following his dad's death while serving in WWII the family relocated to Amarillo. Raymond graduated from Amarillo High School in 1962.  He graduated from West Texas State University in 1967 with a BBA in Accounting.  Soon after he attained his CPA professional certification. After college graduation, Raymond worked for a number of notable CPA firms including the US General Accounting Office and Peat Marwick Mitchell Accounting Firm.  Raymond also spent many years as head of the accounting department for Norman Blankinship Enterprises before becoming self-employed in 1984.  He enjoyed a long-time friendship with many clients until his retirement in 2018. Raymond was a proud member of Saint Stephen United Methodist Church, the National Rifle Association and the AHS Sandie Classics. Although proud of his career, Raymond's greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He was so proud to share his beloved hobbies with them all...fishing, hunting, sports and in later years fly-fishing.  Raymond took such pride in sharing stories about his family adventures.  His quick wit and humor will be remembered by all that knew and loved him. His most treasured places of tranquility with his family were at Three Falls Cove in Fritch, Texas, Middle Fork Resort in Stonewall, Colorado, Tall Pine Resort in Red River, New Mexico and his hunting lease outside Claude, Texas. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful BSA Hospice Care nurses and caregivers for their outstanding compassion, care and service in Raymond's final months.
