Rex Stuart Darnall, Jr.

Rex Stuart Darnall, Jr., 58, of Amarillo, died Thursday, August 23, 2018. Memorial services will be 10:00 am Monday at Amarillo Fellowship Church, 8425 Bell St. with Pastor Mark Green officiating. Rex was born January 20, 1960 in Borger to Katy and Rex Darnall, Sr. He graduated from Panhandle High School. He worked as a security guard at Pantex for 19 years. He was a rental property owner, and a member of the Amarillo Apartment Association for many years. He was a superintendent for Bluehaven Homes, and was also co-owner of Lone Star Aqua Farms. Rex enjoyed playing golf and exercising at the gym. He most especially enjoyed time spent with his grandbabies, Ellie and Wyatt. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his daughter, Brittany Loera and husband Jaron of Amarillo; his parents, Katy and Rex Darnall, Sr. of Panhandle; two sisters, Candy Daniels and husband Kerby of Panhandle, and Laura Collins and husband Kevin of Amarillo; a brother, Mark Darnall of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Ellie and Wyatt Loera, and Kyler and Kadence Tunnell; a special friend, Kim Wright of Amarillo; a nephew, Dale Daniels; and three nieces, Candice Croxford, Morgan De Leon, and Nicole Collins.
