Rex W. Rogers

Rex W. Rogers, 84, of Amarillo passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Cox Funeral Home; 4180 Canyon Drive. Rex was born September 28, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Audice John and Lela Pearl Rogers. He attended high school in Dallas and went on to study Geology at Southern Methodist University. Rex served his country in The United States Air Force. He was a District Manager for 7-Eleven for many years before working in retail until retirement. Rex’s hobbies included stamp collecting and gardening. He loved playing board games and cards especially Canasta. Rex will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Anita Rogers. Rex is survived by his step-sons, Bruce Smith and wife Charissa, Keven Banner and wife Emily and Kenneth Lee Banner; a niece, Judy Cutchins and husband James; nephews, Donald Cunningham, James Cunningham and wife Pam and John Cunningham.
