Rickki Carter 70, of Amarillo passed away on March 29, 2022. Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Lane Boyd officiating. Services are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Rickki was born December 2, 1951 in Moberly, Missouri to Knoxie and Jacqueline Cross. She graduated from Ponca City High School where she excelled in tennis. She attended Southwestern College and graduated with her RN from Northwest Texas School of Nursing. She was a nurse at NorthWest Texas Healthcare for 28 years. She was a devoted nurse who loved the profession and would always say, “I am fortunate enough to love what I do, so it is never work.” Her passion was her grandchildren, who she was loving known as “KiKi” they were the apple of her eye, she would do anything and everything for them or for anyone that she met. She attended every sporting event or any event that they were involved in. She was an amazing artist who could draw anything. Rickki will be deeply missed by all. She was deeply rooted in her Christian faith and prayed for everyone she met who had need.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Nickki Cluck and Broc Carter. Her very special grandchildren Carter Cluck, Cavin Cluck, Claire Carter and Finley Carter. Her sister Donna Behrens and husband Doug as well as a niece Amy Portell and nephew Brandon Behrens along with many loving friends.
