Risha Davida (Snell) Washington

Risha Davida Washington was surrounded by family as she departed this life, and she was welcomed by family into the gates of Heaven on December 12, 2022.

She was born to Deborah Rose Snell and Albert Gonzales on September 24, 1979, in Amarillo, Texas. Risha was a Talent Development Specialist for Security Finance with 20 years of service.  She was a graduate of Palo Duro High School and enjoyed reading, watching mystery movies and being with her family.  Risha’s number one passion was her family.

Risha is preceded in death by her mother Deborah; her father Albert; her grandfather Bernie Oberbrockling; her grandmother Phyllis Oberbrockling; her uncle Ben Oberbrockling; her mother-in-law Martha Washington; and her father-in-law Birlon Washington, SR.

She is survived by her husband, Birlon Washington, JR; two daughters Karmin and Ravyn; a stepdaughter Joy White; two sisters Tashina Santiago (Felipe) and Marcelina Snell (Dell Kilgore); nine sisters-in-law Julia Weems, Ladoria Shaw, Loretta Washington, Wanda Williams, Cassie Williams (Kalor), Penny Lewis (Howard), Donna Berry, Candy Simpson (Craig), and Jurea Washington; two brothers-in-law Joel Washington (Teresa) and Ray Washington (Lupe); two aunts Brenda Hernandez and Victoria Fisher (Kenny); two uncles Michael Snell (Debra) and Tim Oberbrockling (Myra); six grandchildren; and a slew of loving cousins, nieces and nephews who she admired and loved dearly.

Risha had much love for her Security Finance family and she had a sincere love for them.  The family gives a special thank you to her best friend/sister, Kim Waycaster.
