Robbie Darlene Kemp

Robbie Darlene Kemp, 71, of Amarillo passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Memorial Services will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Cox Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Robbie was born January 20, 1947 to Martin Percy Edwards Sr. and Tennessee Routh Edwards in Plainview, Texas. Robbie graduated from Plainview High School and went on to earn her Nursing certificate from West Texas University. She married Dannie Kemp on July 8, 1967. Robbie loved painting, sketching, reading romance novels and watching her "feel good" movies. Robbie took the great pride in her career and was a very compassionate, loving and caring nurse. She was a strong, faithful, Christian woman that instilled her values in her children. Robbie will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Robbie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dannie Kemp. She is survived by her son, Jason Kemp; daughter, Elisa Mott and husband Robert Sr.; brother, Martin Percy Edwards Jr. and wife Edris; grandchildren, Nicholas Kemp, Zoe Librach-Kemp, Robert Mott Jr. and Andrew Mott; and other extended family.
