Robert "Bob" Hauser

Bob was born May 6, 1932, in Vancouver, Wash., to Henry and Patricia Hauser. He was raised in Portland, where he graduated from Grant High School. He attended Portland State University as well as Amarillo College. Bob married Christena Culver on June 5, 1954, in Portland. He worked as a salesman for Scientific Products before establishing his business, Westgate Clinical Laboratory, which he operated until his retirement at age 65. Bob loved to golf and enjoyed spending time at home, relaxing with his wife and his favorite television shows. Most of all, he adored his grandchildren and cherished time spent with them. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Jean and Patsy Ann. Survivors include his wife, Christena Hauser of Amarillo; two daughters, Anna Hauser of Temple and Patricia Hauser of Port Angeles, Wash.; four grandchildren, John and Jim Bob Messer and Matthew and Lory Garrett; and five great-grandchildren, Willie and Jameson Messer, Cowan Gonce, Jacee and Monty Merrell. The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo Food Bank or a favorite charity.
