Robert Moss

Robert Moss, 63, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Private services will be held at a later time.

Robert was born December 19, 1957 in Dumas, Texas to John and Maxine Moss. He graduated from Dumas High School. He married Joy LaFever on January 14, 1983 in Dumas. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage until Joy’s passing in March of this year. Robert worked for Texas Dept. of Transportation for over 20 years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the lake with the family and riding jet skis. He loved spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of Pathpoint Fellowship Church.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joy Moss; and two sons, Kelly Moss and Robert Paul Moss, Jr.

Survivors include three sons, Clint LaFever and wife Mona of Amarillo, Kenny LaFever and fiancé Jeni of Dumas, and John Moss and girlfriend Jessie Ashley of Amarillo; two brothers, Johnny Moss and wife Barbara of Medford, OK, and Calvin Moss of Dumas; two sisters, Fay Lemaster of Canyon and Joy Brown and husband, Billy of Martinsville, VA; eleven grandchildren, Mason, Caden, Avery, Alexis, Tatum, Rhylee, Bryson, Hannah, Jaxon, Natalie and Trey; three great grandchildren; Dax, Mallory and Zabriel; and a host of additional family and close friends.
