Robert "Bob" Steeger

Bob was born December 4, 1923 to Lillian and Frank Steeger. He graduated from Lyndhurst High School in New Jersey, he then attended Georgetown University. Bob became an ordained minister from Christ for the Nation Seminary, in 1994-1995. He served his country in the Army- Air Corps from 1942-1946, and was a WWII veteran. Bob served as a Past Post Commander of the VFW 8950 out of Maryland, and then a member of the VFW here in Amarillo, TX. Bob was as a member of Alhambra out of Maryland, from 1978-1985. Bob was married to his loving wife Elizabeth for almost 70 Years. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Steeger, son Robert E. Steeger, his parents Lillian and Frank Steeger, and his brother Frank Steeger. He is survived by his daughters, Sharen Stansbury and husband Doug of Snellville, GA, Karen Schoch and husband John of New Bern, NC, Laura Hendrickson and husband Frank of Amarillo, TX. His Sons, Paul M. Steeger and wife Vicki of Fayettville, NC, Dennis F. Steeger and wife Teri, of Sachse, TX. As well as 17 Grandchildren, 35 Great grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
