Robin Mckillip

Robin Lynne McKillip, 60, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 3, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Pastor Dan Powers officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the funeral home.

Robin was born June 2, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas to Jimmy and Kattie Nash. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1977. Later that year, she married Danny McKillip in Amarillo. Robin earned her degree as a registered nurse in 2004 from Amarillo College. In her spare time, Robin loved fishing. She and Danny enjoyed getting away in their RV, and spending time at Greenbelt Lake and Lake Meredith. She was talented at sewing, knitting and crochet. Robin enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking. She had a very determined spirit, which served her well during the times when she was battling serious medical issues over the last 10 years. Robin will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Nash.

Survivors include her husband, Danny McKillip; a son, Brandon McKillip of Amarillo; a daughter, Akaisha McKillip of Amarillo; four brothers, Jim Nash, Sr. and wife Trudy of Amarillo, Micah Nash, Sr., Blaine Nash of Amarillo, and Loren Nash; two sisters, Christy Woodard and husband Ricky of Canyon, and Perrie Gilmore and husband Jimmie of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Mickey Simmons and husband Jon of Canyon; three grandchildren, Tennsea Liekhus, Tanner Liekhus, and Bailey Jo McKillip; and a great-granddaughter, Oaklynne Liekhus; and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society; Hanna’s Wish, Inc.
