Roger Carl Brown, Jr.

Roger was born on September 27, 1962 in Childress to Roger Sr. and Bertha Brown. He was raised in Turkey before moving to Amarillo during his childhood, where he graduated from Caprock High School in 1980. He then attended classes at Amarillo College as well as WT, earning his Associate's Degree in Business and Accounting. Roger worked as a carpenter for many years before working at the prison and eventually settling at Pantex, where he worked for over 15 years. Roger married Misty Pulliam on August 7, 1999 in Amarillo. Together, they enjoyed taking many family vacations, especially to the mountains. He was a loving family man and spent the majority of his time outdoors, hunting, fishing and shooting with family. He began his passion of hunting at a young age, spending countless hours alongside his father watching and learning. These outdoor moments are something he passed down to his own children, spending memorable time at their family farm in Quitaque. His family and friends would describe him as being ornery and sarcastic and even nicknamed him "Bear" at a young age, a title that will always be remembered by others. He is survived by his wife, Misty Brown of Amarillo; parents, Roger Sr. and Bertha Brown of Amarillo; 5 children, Brandie Brown of Amarillo, Joshua Brown of Amarillo, Gary Arthur of Waco, Keana Smart of Amarillo and Heather Brown of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Brett Brown and wife Teresa of Amarillo and Danny Brown and wife Shelby of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, Jason, Kady, McKenzie, Logan, Kaydince and Gastyn and his parents-in-law, Jack and Shirley Pulliam.
