Roger Allen Martin

Roger Allen Martin, 51, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 Roger was born in Midland, Texas on October 23, 1962. He moved to Amarillo as a small child with his family. He was known for his caring personality and would do anything to help a person in need. He loved to volunteer and work for his church, Lighthouse Baptist Church. Roger loved children and pets, especially his beloved dog, Diamond. He has been a devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church for over 4 years. Roger is survived by his mother and stepfather, Thelma and Paul Rowlett of Amarillo; 2 brothers, Roy Daugherty, Jr. and wife, Glenda of Fayettville, NC and Paul Martin and wife Paula of Amarillo; 4 sisters, Dianna Matthews and husband Raymond of Livingston, TX, Kathleen Gilmore and husband Robert of Canyon, Terri Anne Eaton of Amarillo and Betty Lou Medder of Erick, OK; step-brother, Steven Rowlett and Lisa of Amarillo; 3 step-sisters, Kim Vo and husband Nick of Amarillo, Regina Story and husband Jim of Fritch and Phuong Rowlett and husband Hong of Amarillo; ex-wife and best friend, Teresa Martin of Amarillo; special friend, Mary Evans of Amarillo; and many close cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who loved him immensely. Roger is preceded in death by his grandparents and his brother, Orville Daugherty.
