Ronald D. Corbet

Ron was born on May 3, 1934 in Belpre, Kansas to Marietta and Myrl Corbet. He was salutatorian of his high school. He married Mary Jean Ellison on August 4, 1956. He entered the US Air Force as an Aviation Cadet on February 25, 1954, was commissioned 2nd Lt. in 1955, and progressed to 1st Lt, Captain, Major and Lt Colonel, retiring in 1974. He was awarded pilot, senior pilot and command pilot wings. He received the bronze star during his service in Vietnam. Total flying time in the USAF was 6000 hours. After retirement from the USAF he moved his family to Amarillo, Texas and began working for Sid Stout Ford and later Ron Clark Ford. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Jean , August 2007 and son Charles Corbet, April 2011 He is survived by his son, Johnnie W. Corbet and wife Chris of Amarillo; Daughter, Ronda Johnson and husband Mike of San Jose, CA; His loving companion, Ethel Robinson of Fort Worth, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
