Ron was born June 16, 1953 in Amarillo, Texas to Harry and Beatrice Sandoval George. He was a graduate of Tascosa High School, graduating early at mid-term so he could work full time. He also attended Amarillo College. Ron found his niche as a plumber and took classes that led him to becoming a master plumber. He worked for Guy’s Plumbing for 35 years as the shop foreman. One day, while on the job, he was buried in a ditch which caused him to have back problems later in life that eventually led to several surgeries and ultimately ended his career.
Ron was a really good cook and he loved cooking and grilling on his smoker that the shop guys had given him one year for Christmas. He also like to go hunting and fishing with his brother when time allowed. Ron was an avid lover of animals. His pets were spoiled rotten, especially his dog, Brandie. Ron was a friendly guy who would do anything for you and always rooted for the underdog. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Bea George; and his beloved wife Carol Rowland George of 16 years.
Survivors include a son, Cole George and a daughter, Danielle George of South Dakota; a brother, Carl George and wife Paula of Fritch; a sister, Oleta Sutton and husband, Charles of Amarillo, TX; a niece, Heather Fink and husband David of Shallowater, TX; a nephew, Bryan Sutton and wife April of Frisco, TX; a great-niece, Kaitlyn Fortner and husband Jeffrey of Amarillo, TX; and great nephews, Alvin-Michael Owens, Logan Fink and Travis Sutton.
