Ronald Lynn Wall, 46, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on October 26, 2020. Visitation will be Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 pm at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Polk Street United Methodist Church located at 1401 S. Polk Street, Amarillo, Texas with Pastor David Simmons of Pathpoint Fellowship Church officiating. The eulogy will be given by Bishop Horace Stacey, III of Temple of Praise Community Church. Ronald (Chilli) was born in Floydada, Texas to Arthur and Sherrie Wall on October 24, 1974, in Floydada, Texas. Ronald defeated all odds and survived and thrived despite being born two months early and weighing only 2 lbs. 13 oz. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Jesus’ name by his grandfather Bishop Alex Wall. He had recently become a member of Pathpoint Fellowship Church where his entire family was active. He grew up in Plainview, Texas and graduated from Plainview High School in 1993. Chilli got his name from a bad haircut given by his dad when he was 4 years old, so most family and friends called him “Chili Bowl.” Over time, “Bowl” was dropped, and he simply became Chilli, as he was known to most of us for over 40 years. He married Kristin McCord on May 28, 2005, and together they raised 9 children, 2 of which are special-needs foster children. He was a beloved Papa to his 3 grandchildren who adored him. He worked as a cylinder tech at Westair for the past 9 years. He was well known in the community as a football, baseball and basketball coach, but loved being a basketball coach the most. He coached several teams for 19 years, mainly, the Amarillo Bulls and the Amarillo Bulldawgz. He selflessly gave his time and money to make sure any child who wanted to play basketball could play. He spent countless hours training, teaching, and mentoring both girls and boys. He was also a passionate and devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. Ronald is preceded in death by his great-grandparents; his grandparents, Alex and Leddie Wall and Lee Andrew Campbell; 4 uncles, Johnny Ray Wall, Ronnie Wall, Alan Wall and Donald Campbell; and 1 aunt, Sandra Tolson. Ronald is survived by his wife, Kristin; his sons, Brennon, Kainan and Chris; his daughters, Aliyah, Alexis, Zaedyn, Jayda, Zharia and Ashley; his grandchildren, Kashton, Khaz’lynn and Karter all of Amarillo; his parents, Arthur and Sherrie Wall of Plainview; his sister, Ravonnette Stacey (Horace) of Amarillo; his brother, Brandon Wall (Leslie) of Plainview; his grandmother, Dorothy Kerr of Floydada; his in-laws, Ronnie and Kim McCord of Clovis, NM and Cody (Jessica) McCord of Edmond, OK; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family of Ronald Wall wishes to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all family and friends who have shown support of any kind during this time.
