Ronald Welch passed away on October 26, 2022. Graveside service will be at 11 am Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Silverton Cemetery. Ronald was born February 28, 1939 in Silverton, Texas to Meridan and Mabel Welch. He was one of a kind. Plainly outspoken and all about his horses. He was affiliated with AQHA and bred American Quarter Horses for 60+ (61) years. They were his children, his family he always said if he couldn't throw a bale of hay to feed his babies that he didn't want to be here. He loved talking over the history of his horses and was very passionate and loved telling about his horse's backgrounds. He would tell everyone about Pale Bacca and Line Bars Blue Boy; they were the foundation studs that he built his program on. His horses were always compared to the 6666 ranch and told by several that there isn't a better breeder or set of brood mares out there. He always had a smile on his face and loved life. He was quick to lend a hand to anyone and everyone, never expecting anything in return. Ronald loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who were blessed to be part of his life.
Ronald is preceded by parents and three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
