Ronda Richardson

Ronda Richardson, 66, beloved Spouse, Aunt, Daughter, Mother, and Sister, was called to her eternal resting place on December 24, 2024. She entered this world on February 10, 1958 in Aurora, CO, born to Lyle and Dottie Henk.

Ronda being a follower of Christ found her passion by helping others. She started working for high plains hospital as what was called a "Candy striper" as she was going through nursing school. Once she received her RN she worked as a nurse at High Plains. Ronda's passion for diabetes after being diagnosed with diabetes herself led her to become a diabetes educator. After 20 years Ronda decided to hang up her nursing degree and picked up her passion in the family business. Ronda was the owner of Doug's BBQ for many years and loved everyone she came into contact with. On her breaks or down time she loved to go by the tables and give everyone a warm welcome.

Once Ronda retired she picked up her devotion for her dogs. She enjoyed spending time with her many fur babies. Ronda loved spending time with family and trying to beat her sister Collette in their favorite game skip-bo! She also loved to sabotage her husband and give him a hard time but she loved him fiercely. Ronda was a great nurturer and loved everyone she came in contact with, and would be there for you if you ever needed her. She was not only a great mother but a best friend according to her daughter, Abby and an angel according to her son, Christopher. She is now at peace in the arms of her savior. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

Ronda is survived by her spouse John Mark Richardson; daughter Abby Richardson; son Christopher Sinclair;  sister Collette Torres; niece Kristie Neal; niece Kylie McNabb; niece Alexis Torres and spouse Mo; brother Jeff Henk; niece Whitney Henk; niece Dj Henk; niece Jeracole Daniels; nephew Brandon Henk; sister Jennifer McDowell and spouse Larry; nephew Michael McDowell and spouse Cicely; niece Megan McDowell.

Ronda is proceeded by parents Dottie and Lyle Henk; and niece Shelbi Henk.

Family will hold a private Celebration Of Life at a later date.
